Bettinardi
Baby Ben Putters - the putter of champions
Ben Hogans Bettinardi Baby Ben Putter was the putter of choice for Jim Furyk
during the 2003 U.S. Open. Jim Furyk won that Open, raising his Q rating and
that of Hogan’s high-end Bettinardi putter line.
Nearly 40 percent of the weight in Baby Ben’s one piece aluminum head sits
rearward for a smooth, consistent roll. Testers gave the Baby Ben high marks for
control and feel though its hourglass shape took some getting used to. During
testing at Pinehurst, it rated above average from 15 to 24 feet, but a bit below
average elsewhere.
This Ben Hogan putter is what innovation is all
about. Milled from a solid block of aluminum featuring the exclusive Bee Hive
Center cavity which allows 38% of the heads weight to be positioned behind the
ball.
